Job Description
Job Summary (Special Education Teacher Middle School, 2026-27 School Year):
- Full-time special education teaching position for middle school (self-contained, mild-moderate caseload)
- Assignment runs ASAP through June 4, 2027 (37.5 hours/week; Monday-Friday, 7:15am-3:15pm)
- Hourly pay: $46-49/hour (W-2), based on experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or higher
- Must hold a valid NC special education teaching certificate
- Experience in special education settings required (resource/self-contained classrooms, 1:1, externalizing behaviors)
- Experience with IEPs, lesson planning, and collaboration with faculty and parents
- Strong desire to connect with students
